memry slot info and used slot info


Hi All,

In linux how can i get no of memory slots present on the mother board and out of that how many slots are actullay used.and memory size of each chip on the each slot.
is there any command/program to retrieve this information?
can any one help me?

lshw will give you that information now whether it is the form you want/can use is another thing.

but in Suse linux lshw command not supported.
Can u tell me any similar command Suse linux?

lshw is a program, have you checked to see if it available?
