Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients
 

Hi everybody,

I need to know what are cepstral coefficients? I know they are calculated in Fast Fourier Transform but I can not understand which properties of the wav audio file they are. For example there are 13 cepstral coefficients in my design. What is the first one? Is it frequency of the speech? What is the second one? Is it the timpre of the speech??? Or are ceptral coefficients unrelated with frequency or timpre (or something like these properties of the speech) of the word?
