Matlab.

Dear all,
I am writing some code in matlab and I would like to do some reading of how to write cleaner code and how to name variables and write comments.

Even though If you suggest me something for the c language I believe that still can be useful.

One more questions. Let's say that I find for example a file that has really nice structured comments. For example specific format commenting function inputs, outputs author code. CAn afterwards copy and paste and use someone's comments format or this is might some copyright problem?

I would like to thank you in advance for your help

Best Regards
Alex

A good starting point might be the Programming Fundamentals user guide in the official documentation on the Mathworks site. Regarding comments, I guess you refer to the first comment lines that provides the help topic of the function/script. You can check the comments in the M-files of the official matlab toolbox and follow their style. If you develop something you consider useful to the scientific community, you can always submit it to the Matlab central file exchange facility, so that other users can provide useful comments and feedback.

Here you can find a brief guide about Guidelines for writing clean and fast code in MATLAB. Hope this helps.
