say

according to this source of description http://www.w3schools.com/rss/rss_tag_image.asp

we can see that this is supported:

The
element allows an image to be displayed when aggregators present a feed.

Tips and Notes

Note: The image must be of type GIF, JPEG or PNG.

Child Elements of

Tag Description

Code:

Optional. Specifies the text in the HTML title attribute of the link around the image

Optional. Defines the height of the image. Default is 31. Maximum value is 400

Required. Defines the hyperlink to the website that offers the channel

Required. Defines the text to display if the image could not be shown

Required. Specifies the URL to the image

Optional. Defines the width of the image. Default is 88. Maximum value is 144

Example

W3Schools Home Page

Free web building tutorials

W3Schools.com

RSS Tutorial

New RSS tutorial on W3Schools

Guess that it is important that the rss-source offers an image.
without that - it would be impossible to show one...
