Make GTK frontends with Glade

I want to make some GTK frontends to terminal-commands with Glade.

I have to write some code too, and what language is the best then?

So.... this is no critical application... no need c or c++

I say go with python or mono.......

Thanks. Is there any good tutorials out here in how to use Python, Glade and GTK together?
