Unhappy mac address conversion problem

hi,
i have written a program which using ARP protocol to transfer unlimited data from on pc to another , the ARP will get the MAC address of destination to check weather client pc is having the same mac address for it's ip or not.

i hace a structure one of its member is a unsigned char to which we have to load mac address ,here is my problem in the net i saw if we are having
mac address say 00:06:66:03:13;37 we will initialize the member as
0\06\146\3\23\67

if i am having destination mac as 00:0C:29:63:0D:C0 what value we have to specify.

any help is appreciable.

thanks
saheel

You seem to have a desire or need to use octal as the radix to specify values of individual octets. Any radix for which your implementation language provides a notation will work equally well. Why not stick with the convention of hexadecimal?
