log files not updating


i have a problem: Today i ran a script and it accidentally gzip the current httpd access log and i have unzip it. But now the log is not updating today. Any one can help?

Hi,

Did you restart the httpd (apache?) process after you restored the logfile? If not: You need to do so.

The current running httpd process is still writing to the old (none-existing) logfile.
