Loading Win32 Executables.

Hi, I am looking for information as to how, win32 executables work, and how they are loaded. I am looking to create a simple sandbox but can't find any info on it, googled like crazy but came up with nothing of interest. Documents/Tutorials on this would preferably by asm or C related but post what you got.

Win32 executables are in PE (portable executable) format;
http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&ie...E+format&meta=
returns plenty of URL.
