Question linux wave file


Hi..

I am working on one project which should make alarm sound on linux system. i found one wave file. but the sound is not like we want. we want something like beeping alarm sound.
Do you know about the linux wave files for this sound?
We tried some window wave files. but that makes different sound.

Please help me..

there are alot of free sound sites..

there was one really good one.. i cant remember the name though..

there was an article on slashdot a few months ago about it.. ?

<edit>this mystery site was trying to get to a million sounds.. its like a free sound project of some sort.. though i still cant find it..</edit>

i used to cron an alarm sound to wake me up in the morning (i forget the /path/to/filename.wav in redhat - i'll look for it when i get home).

now i use xine to wake me up. fyi:

amways, if you cant find it i guess you can try to record your alarm clock.
