Gtk+ and Qt are two major GUI libraries on Linux.

Also checkout GLADE and GLUT.

In your opinion, which do you think is easier?
Is there a different language that you think would be any easier?
I am perfectly willing to learn a new language (GUI programing is close enough to a new language).

Just stumbled upon: http://wiki.wxwidgets.org/WxWidgets_...Other_Toolkits . Not that I'm specifically advertizing wxWidgets, just a good comparison and thus a list of libraries/toolkits.

I have seen wxWidgets but it seems like more like one of those 'I'll do it for you' things and I fell learning the codeing helps me learn more about the os (WIN GUI sure did). But I'll look into it.
