Unhappy Linux GUI Programming: How to override the default window decorations?

I'm fighting since two years with this question, how the default window decorations could be overridden and create a completely nice SKIN (including custom window decoration) for my apps.

I have some sample applications to demonstrate you what I mean and what I WANT!
─ Renoise
─ energyXT
─ Steam Client
─ JOST VST Host
─ some native VST(i) Plugins for Linux (ELF, SO)
─ (I can also remember, that a Commodore 64 Emulator for Linux had custom decorations, I forgot the name of the program)

All these applications are available for Linux (NATIVE, ELF executable) and there are no kind of KDE decorations/colors or anything else to see [I have KDE installed :-) ] They have there own SKIN/DESIGN/DECORATIONS/ELEMENTS/ETC. blah blah blah

Don't ask me what GUI Framework I'm using. I can switch and I would switch to another GUI Framework only to have a nice looking app.
Anyway I'm using Qt4 and Qt5 currently...

Please, can someone help me to finish the tooooo long fight... I'm tired and pi**ed o**
I finally gave up

When I was writing Perl/Tk GUIs this was called "overriding window manager redirection" because the WM redirects your top level window into an attractive decorative frame. The PTk source is in C and knows how to do this for various WMs so looking at the source should help.

I haven't used them, but it is my understanding that this can all be accomplished using stylesheets in Qt:
