Question Library for Cpio


Gnu Cpio doesn't come with a library. Is there a library like libtar but for cpio? libarchive is sort of a last resort, as I don't like its "dummy proof" API.

I think cpio builds a static library which is then linked into the resulting binary. both pax and cpio use the lib. Here's a few interesting links:
