Question Kernel module,flashing caps-lock led

Hi,
I need a module that flash Caps-Lock led.
Is it possible to use outb() function here for sending data to keyboard via port 0x64 ?
Or is there any other way to do this ?

Thanks in advance;

Why a LKM when 'xset led 2' would turn it on and 'xset -led 2' would turn it off?
