Talking KDevelop and ...?!

hi all
i'm really new to visual programming in linux. i have a really important question.
i've tested many IDE for c/c++ in linux, i found Kdevelop best! (console is good but not at all!)
personally i feel better with gnome (i'm using kde!).
in kdevelop i found: Kdevelop is an IDE for KDE.
is it meaning only output can work on kde?
is it kde depenced?
and if someone use gnome (not installed kde) can use softwares that developed ba Kdevelop? (like ubunto, need kde use Kubunto! )
and can I use gtk+ in kdevelop and kde?

tanx all !

You can run kDevelop under gnome (that's what I do). The programs that you write using KDE will be independent of KDE unless you use any KDE specific libraries. whilst kDevelop is focused towards KDE you can use any library you like, such as GTK+, you just need to ensure that the libraries are on your machine asyou develop and on any machine that wishes to run your program.

I use KDevelop, too, with the Gnome envirnoment (in ubuntu). I installed lots of KDE programmes, because I like them, but I don't like the K Desktop Environment. No problem at all!
