jGRASP IDE in Mandrake 10.1

i have just recently installed linux on my laptop. I have installed the java JDK 1.5.0, and it works within a web browser, but when i try to run jGRASP, i get an error that says: command "java" not found. Does anyone know how to get jGRASP to load or if there is anything similar to it that would work
