Hi,
I went to http://www.123-reg.co.uk/ the other day, and I'm really impressed with the way, when you click on domain, it adds it to the cart WITHOUT A REFRESH.
But what I really want to know is - how does it do the slick little effect when you click "Add to basket", when it "appears" on the right hand side?
I wasn't going to post, as I disable javascript in my browser... If you install the firefox addon Firebug (or an equivalent for whatever browser you use) it will allow you to "step through" the javascript a line at a time, so you can see what parts of the source code are doing the animation effect. If you find the relevant bits and post them, along with what you understand about the code, then we can help you to learn exactly what it's doing I don't know how much javascript you know currently, but if you're starting out (and I guess even if you're not) then www.w3schools.com is an incredibly useful and informative website
Wellll.... I'm not really interested in looking at other people's code, and not going through it all to find only the slick effect stuff. Just wanted to know if anyone else here already works on this type of stuff, and could post just a *small* amount of code to help me....
I just wanted some *basic* info to start with - how do you draw inside the browser? Is this effect thing using HTML5 Canvas?
