Your question makes no sense.

Java accepts source code in the form of text files, and Linux has a lot of text editors to create text files.

Java produces its output as bytecode to be executed in Java virtual machine, and Linux has both Java compiler ('javac') and bytecode interpreter ('java').

And look up

eclipse java linux

in your favorite WEB search engine.

As the other posters said, Java programming is fully supported under Linux.

Probably your best bet is to download the Java Development Kit ("JDK") from Sun's web site:

http://java.sun.com

The two most prevalent IDEs are Netbeans (which can come bundled with JDK from http://java.sun.com) and Eclipse (http://www.eclipse.org).

'Hope that helps .. PSM
