Java phone directory using linked lists

I'm trying to write a phone directory Java program using linked lists. It would be simple (i.e hit "I" to insert and "R" to remove information). does anyone have example code for this or linked lists in general that could be used for this? I'm trying to learn on my own and it's kind of over my head.
