/me pulls out a clipboard, marks a few things and hrms...

This is about 2 places away from the stupidest question i've ever seen...

www.java.com?
www.sun.com?
java.sun.com?

Take your choice and pay attention to the 3 inch wide puke green buttons on every page with 20 point font lettering that say things like..

GET IT NOW... DOWNLOAD HERE!!! FREE DOWNLOADS!!! WINDOWS MAC SOLARIS LINUX!!!

Caeda has a point, although blunt. http://java.sun.com
Go to the same page you got the Windows file. Look at the entry immediately below it.
Get the bin file for Slack. Read the instructions. If you can't install it, search the site. Very good advice all over the place here. Java is a popular question. Answered daily

Another subtle detail is the fact that the Java SDK is part of Slackware 9.1. Unless you explicitly chose not to install it during the installation of Slack, it's already installed, and if you didn't install it...it's easiest to install the Slackware package right off the CD (or get it from a Slackware mirror).

remove your dark glasses and go to java web site. It is all there and only you can see it. This is called bad navigation and nothing else.

How can you install rpm version in Slackware?

Go to the java.sun.com and then => "download j2sdk" , and follow the links. There are 2 versions available, rpm and self-extraction versions. Choose self-extraction versions and follow the installation instructions.
