ISO / Visual C++ 6.0 incompatibilities

What are the differences between the 2? In what way does VC++ deviate from the standard?

I don't know about the exact differences.... however, the Visual C++ documentation should tell you. Some serctions are marked "Microsoft specific".
As far as I know, there aren't many differences, but I might be wrong....

Not really. The MS documentation is crap. There a l lot of subtle differences which are not documentated. eg

for ( int i=0; i<10; i++ ) // some stuff

for ( int i=0; i<20; i++ ) // other stuff

will compile under g++ but not VC++.

Well other than the than the fact that the visual C++ 6.0 from M$ lets you develop using things like windows.h and things like that there is not much of a diffrence -- i think its the same compiler
