I'm studying* C++ CGI web programming. Following the tutorial from tutorials point

It says that for Apache to run my cgi executable it has to be at var/www/cgi-bin

Can't find ww at var however.

apache is never preinstalled The only serverf you'll reliably find there is sshd. just run "apt-get install apache", or httpd / apache2 / httpd2 i don't know what ubuntu calls it, and it'll install.
