Intermedia C programming books?

I am curious if any of you know some really good intermediate C programming books. Once I get thru my introduction book Programming in C by Stephen Kochan I will need to move on. I like to do my research before buying any books. Sometimes it's hard when you are new to programming to answer the question of where do I go next to learn the next level.

Yeah, I agree. I typically don't know if I like a programming book until I've gotten passed the skill level it teaches. What I've found to work well is go to a good library and spend a couple of chapters "testing the waters". I've even done that in Barnes & Noble... a chapter a day to get through the first couple chapter and see if it strikes my fancy.

Sorry I don't have any recomendations. For C, I just use the ol' "C Programming" as a reference and work through the standard C library reference and sample code from the internet.

Good luck

How about:

Mastering Algorithms with C by K Loudon.

You can then follow that up with the sedgwick series of books looking at different algorithms in detail (in 5 parts)
