Installation of kde 2.2.2

I have download all the file need to install kde2.2.2 but , the rpm
gives a lot of dependencies , i can give --nodeps but what is the correct
installation procedure ie which files in what order. the kde site
gives the order, that does not work, also is kde 3.0 stable for use.
