If im right, linux could read just FAT 16 partitions, XP converts all partitions to FAT32 or NTFS. So you could try to format that partition to FAT16. Im not totally sure about this, just wait for the gurus to confirm... But I know that there are a few softwares that help you in this. Try reading the docs for Partition Magic

Which Linux distribution are you using? I have a dual boot Win XP/SuSE laptop. The XP partition is NTFS, and SuSE automounts and can read the XP partition.

driver again

I've heard about a software but I don't know how to search it. I'm using FEDORACORE 2. And I think if I convert my partition codec then I will lose my data in this partition. Isn' there another way to do this?

There's a module named ntfs which can be loaded into your kernel. This allows for read-only access to your NTFS partitions. For your Fat partitions, there is a module named vfat. This module allows for read and write access to your Fat partitions.

Once you load the appropriate modules into your kernel, you can then mount the respective partition by using the mount command, or adding it to your fstab so that it will always mount it.

Since you are using Fedora, I believe there are probably rpms available for both of these modules. In fact, I see they are available from this site.
