Question I'm embarking on a quest to make a sane backend for my usb scanner....

any tips from the programming/hacker community?

when I say "hacker" I don't mean "script kiddie crackerjacks".

EDIT: sorry, I forgot to say what mfg/mdl.

Canon CanoScan FB620U

Any idea's on how to assimilate the FB630U backend into one I can use?

nevermind.... it's cheaper to buy a usb scanner that's supported than to spend endless hours or days searching for the howto on the Internet.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
