html / css footer <div> won't behave

Hello
I am tearing my hair out trying to solve the following problem I have found with a html / css page I am building.
This is the page:

I want there to be a footer <div>. In the css, it's called #logos. I cannot for the life of me get the footer to be at the foot of the page and right across it.

When I try to add images to the foot of the page instead of a footer div, they appear below the properties div on the right. At the moment, the footer is a header

I am certain I am missing something very obvious but I can't see it for looking http://ubuntuforums.org/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif

Please help. This is all very new to me!

I'm not quite sure what you are after but I took a look at your site.
In your css-page try to change the #logos section to this:

#logos {
position:absolute;
top:100%;
background:url("images/footer.jpg") 0 0 no-repeat;
height:70px;
width:100%;
    }

Maybe this will get you somewhere?

Hi,

I took a look at your website and the code is very simple. Your space is not parsed well which is why your image won't appear where you want it to. This is why you are having the problem you are describing. If you use CSS to define all of the elements, your footer may look something like this:

#footer {
height:40px;
padding:25px 0 0 0 0px;
color:#eee
float:right
width:1000px;

}

You will have to parse the whole site for this to work properly
or just try this <div> code to use as a footer. However, the more you add to your page without parsing it, the more problems you will have.

I noticed have submit buttons on your page so it looks like you will be building on the site.

/*or for the right side
