How to switch java versions...

I have both java1.4.2 and java1.50_08 installed and I need to change my javac from 1.4.2 to 1.50_08... but I cant seem to be able to figure it out... I tried update-alternatives --config javac and update-alternatives --config java... but it can only find the 1.4.2...

Anybody have any suggestions???

Try to put java 1.5 path in front of java 1.4 path in your PATH environment variable.

 export PATH=/path/to/jdk1.5/bin:$PATH
