i think we need much more information. if you want us to take our own personal time to help you, then put in the effort yourself to describe your problem. you've assumed the following:

- we know what the problem is ("im having a problem..."): you've told us you cant "set font colour for my coding", what does this mean? what is the problem? is it setting the wrong colour? not changing colour at all? syntax or other error?

- we know what your trying to set the font colour on (i.e some object? some html tag? some GUI component? your IDE's syntax highlighting?)

- we know what 'outputArea' is (i.e. what type of object)

- from that single line of code you posted that we know the entire context (should that single line do anything? are you supposed to refresh your GUI? are you supposed to flush the output .html file your writing to? are you supposed to refresh the .html file you've written to in the browser your viewing it in?)

if someone verbally asked me your question i would think they are asking how to set the syntax highlighting in their IDE.

hopefully you have realized that if you would have asked your question properly or with sufficient information/context, you would have received your answer/solution right away. but since you provided a very vague "question", it is actually taking longer to get your answer.
