How to let MAKE invoke gcc with "-std=c99"

Use the CODE tags(Go Advanced and then click the '#') instead of the quote TAGS for posting code and the formatting will be just as you wrote it.

Here’s your problem. When the kbuild system is looking to source its file, it will look for files named “Makefile” (with a capital ‘M’). My guess is that you have a file named “Makefile” which is superseding the file you posted. If you rename makefile to Makefile, you will save yourself a lot of trouble in future problems. Also, you will get the behavior you want with respect to EXTRA_CFLAGS without any exporting in the shell.

Instead of “[QUOTE]My code[/QUOTE]”, use “[CODE]My code[/CODE]” (that’s the hashmark ‘#’ symbol in the rich text editor).
