The question does not have to be directly related to Linux and any language is fair game.

How to learn advanced Tcl/tk

I am trying to start programming in Tcl and Tk. But this is kinda hard since every guide and tutorial that google finds for me is "beginners guide to..." or "for non-programmers" and so on. These guides does not assume prior programming experience and they just explains the principals of loops and if-statements. I know those things already. I have programmed other languages such as C/C++, Java, Pearl and I need a good guide that really explains the Tk toolkit.

Are there any *good* guides out there?

If you really understand programming you don't need a guide.
Just get the language description and commands from the tcl/tk website, look at the examples, and write.

If not, just bear through the beginners guides.

teval, it's one thing to know language constructs and totally another to know how to write effective programs using a particular language.

In this case I assume (since I don't know Tcl/tk) that there must be an API documentation with reference on functions somewhere which MezzyMeat wants.

Here's a tutorial

http://www.tcl.tk/man/tcl8.5/tutorial/tcltutorial.html

Man pages

Getting started and books
