To configure what? To install java? Search the forums, that's a very, very popular question. Still, you will find your answer on sun.com:

You can use YaST to do this.

Set the Suse FTP site as one of your installation sources and you can then use the program installation routine in YaST to install Java 1.5.
Works a treat and sets up all the plugins for browsers too.

Plus when an update occurs you'll get the notification in Watcher if you use it.
