How do you setup a cron job for a security audit?

I need any help in setting up a cron job for a security audit. It will be greatly appreciated.

Just write a script, copy it to /etc/cron.* (choose how often) and it's done...

use 'crontab -e'
01 04 * * 1-5 /usr/bin/myscript

this will run on every 4:01am any month, any year, monday-friday.

you may want to check the man pages for cron. Some times they can be cryptic for a newbie, but they make sense once you get a better idea how cron works. You can also search the Web for tips on using cron.
