How can I get start ..... please lead me to the right way.

I am a very fresh gal, that know little bit about everything, and not good in anything. So, I just figure out that i have to practise more.

I think of creating a simple website that can let people write messages. After writing the message, it will appear immediately. on the same page in an order. Maybe the page only allow 20 messages. If the 21's message were post then the 1st one will be dissapear.

To do all these, how can I start. What programming language do I need to know. Is it Perl or php. or any others that I must know to complete it.

Please lead me to the right way. Thank you.

just like me i quote "little bit about everything" I have found that you will probably be best looking into the phpbb website. I have set one up before and they are easy to configure. You just need to get the source upload it to a server with php3+ and mysql3.22+ (dont quote me!) upload them and then configure it online.

The custom styles come through css and as the name suggests then the FE is php. This forum is built using the same program.
