Smile how Can i contribute to the Open source project(cryptography, network Security)

how Can i contribute to the Open source projects

I'm basically looking for my contribution on Cryptography and network Security side ,I have a sound knowledge of Cryptography algorithms.

I'm proficient in Perl and with exposure to develpoment in C.

Let me know if some one can help out, where to start if i have to contribute to the open source projects.

Sourceforge has a help wanted page, could be a good place to look.

As well as that, one of the easiest ways to get started is just to start
If a program you use regularly has a bug in it, try fixing it, and submitting a patch to the project.
