Question help: looking for right programing language...

hi, i am looking for a programing language. i know the basics in both java and c++. i like the class structure in java and its 'feel' but like the simplicity of c++ (except classes) and the fact c++ is compiled not to mention the compadability due to that on systems lacking JVM. is there a programing language with the best of two worlds? thanks

what do you mean the best of both worlds? you just said that you dont like classes. wouldnt a language that combines c++ and java probably have classes? maybe you are looking for c, or assembly or something else that stays from that scary high level stuff..

Smalltalk is an interesting complement to Java and C++. Not sure if any implementations will compile to native code, though. Smalltalk is a very simple language, and is fully object-oriented.

python

python is not inbetween c or java, it gose further then java and is a more extream implementation of object orientation. I include this cuz may be you dont want a language in between cpp and java, but one that goes beyond java.

Python is a pure object orientated language and dose not have primatives like javes int, and boolean. Every thing is an object. I make this as a sujestion, it might be worth looking at.

I would also sujest you ask you self some more questions like what do I want to do. If its writing a device driver use cpp if its some thing else you could probebly find a language to do it in thats a bit easier then cpp.
