gtk-config vs gtkmm-config

Hi all !

here is a link to a program which I found on net and would like to compile.

the problem is that its author compiled it on debian system , it used

libgtkmm-dev library.

I got gtk installed on my gentoo system ; when I

> make

it gets me lots of errors.
I think the main problem in the following.
Its Makefile contains the following line:

g++ dutree.cpp -g `gtkmm-config --cflags --libs` -o dutree
on my system there is no `gtkmm-config --cflags --libs` but is 'gtk-config --cflags --libs'
What is the deference between that two libraries ?
What library I must install to have "gtkmm-config" ?
What "mm" stands for ?

Please help !

I don't know gtk , didn't use it at all, but just would like to see some code , to modify some code, to make it to work

gtkmm is a C++ wrapper to GTK+. The mm stands for -- because the -- didn't work well in search engines...

Install the gtkmm libraries and you should be able to build that app.
