Question glut/mesa/openGL

I have installed MESA and GLUT on my linuxbox.
Does anybody know how to create a simple openGL/MESA program
and how to compile it?
I have tried to find some info on the web but it seems hard to find examples on simple opengl/mesa programs and even harder to find out how to compile these programs.

Thanks

http://www.opengl.org/developers/doc...lut/index.html

the glut 3.7 download includes a lot of example and demo programs - compilation is a hassle, if i remember correctly, but it's possible. let me know if you get any errors, and i can probably walk you through the fix.
