Getting Started with GUIs

I've done a lot of programming, but it's all been text based to date, and I was wanting to move on to programs with GUIs, but I don't really know how to get started with this. What would be the easiest way to learn this on Windows and then also on Linux?

try QT designer and Kdevelop. I haven't use them but it seems like they have a nice Interface. They came with mandrake 10

Hey - don't you know the W word is a dirty one around here :)

Last I did any programming in windoze, the tool of choice was something called Delphi.
In Linux - you want a gui workstation for java or gcc - all can be googled my freind. Make sure you know what your windowing system is and you have the development libs.
