Getting information about movies

I'm trying to find some sort of library that will allow me search and get information from imdb or a similiar databse.

I found a perl one, however I am still not able to get it to work.

imdb also includes a plain text interface where you download thier files(200+MB) and then search them on your own system. This is not ideal, however I still can't get it to update the text files so its not working either.

Does anyone know of any interface to these databses which will work in a C++ program?

I'm using OpenDb, a Open Media Lending Database, which offers this functionality.

I could tar these 4 files (in tgz form it will be 9000+ bytes) and try to mail them to you. But it's only usefull if you understand php and are willing to go thru the code and start from there.

If you are interested, mail me your e-mail address (I cannot use the mail option linuxquestions offers: no attachment support).

I did a search online and I found the program your talking about. However since I don't know any PHP, I'll put this on the back burner.

If I can't figure out a way to do what I need I will try to figure out what this program is doing.
