Unhappy Get web page "URL"

sir,

I have logged into a site. Now I need any commands or system calls or library functions which can display the following information.

1. URL of the site connected.
2. Amount of data downloaded.
3. Capturing and storing the packets.
4. Any other web page attributes.

Also,is it possible to run both client and server programs written in C language in the same Linux system?
