gcc linker question
 

Hi all,

While compiling my own LKM I get the following error:
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make Error 1
this does not prevent me from compiling a perfectly usable object file. I thought that this error is because of different versions of my module and kernel, but the thing is, I have a new installation with only one kernel - 2.4.20-8 and nothing else.
So what is this error about?
