Game Programming Resources

Can anybody point me in the right direction for finding articles/discussions on the ups and downs of using Linux for game programming? I don't need to know how to program, I just want some info on the history and projected future of people programming games in linux.

there is a linux game programming book out there

you may want to look into pro and cons of multiplatform development as well

>>projected future
euh... cristal ball?

You may want to interview cedega or companies doing open source games

See happypenguin as well, for some games ideas

i think it's future is in the large proprietary companies and small open-source groups.

only 10% of the gaming market use linux exclusively so only the id's and epic's will ship multi-platform games.
