form processing scripts help?


i downloaded a perl/cgi script to handle some basic input forms in my website... but i always end up watching the cgi script rather than see it being exsecuted...

the html code which begins the form processing stuff is..

<form method="post" action="../cgi-bin/bizmail.cgi" >



i chmoded the script to 777 to allow whatever whatever happens but no use...

could anyone help me,....

also does anyone know of any other scripts which do the lllr work but no such probs...

I'm not hugely knowledgeable on this, but i think you need to check the configuration of whatever web server you're using (Apache?), set up a directory from which to run the scripts and instruct the web server to treat cgi content as executable. this is beyond my knowledge / recollection now, but the Apache configuration file (httpd.conf) is well commented with examples.
