Question flow for the VT100 deveopment

Dear sir,

I want to develop the complete VT100 emulator for linux I tried to find the flow to start with coding but I didnt got idea about where to start & how to start how much "xterm" will help me doing this. My actual aim is to get the paralle port printer emulation. as xterm is not supporting the printing while session is open. i want to make the parallel port printing emulation in it. In my case the Opened session throws buffer i dont know how to catch this buffer locally on my parallel port.
Note: I am using Ubuntu 12.04

Please suggest me developmemt flow ideas or links that will help me to get it going

Thanks & Regards
Rohaan

I think you need to try and re-formulate your question -it's a little confusing. Do you mean that you want a terminal emulator to emulate a printer, so that you could send stuff to a 'printer' but have it really come out in your terminal emulator?

Dear Sir,
Thanks for reply, i want a terminal emulator to emulate a printer and when session is opened and it sends print, it should be redirected printer connected to my dumb terminal(i. e. local printer).
I went through the xterm but didn't found any functionality please suggest any idea or development flow.
Note: all i am trying is to get the VT100 emulation for my PC based dumb terminal

Thanks & Regards
Rohaan

i found this on the web. no clues what it is though, or why it costs 1500$.
anyhow, xterm has been in development for decades and i guess it won't be easy to find anyone who can give advice.
