Eclipse on Debian Sid and Java 1.5 compatibility

Hi there everyone,

I've been googling about which IDE to use with Java and have decided to give Eclipse a try. However when I checked the dependencies of eclipse-platform on Debian Sid it says it's depended on Java 1.3 or 1.4...does that mean that for the moment it won't work with Java 1.5? Is there a workaround?

Otherwise I'm open to new suggestions as to which IDE to use (that's compatible with Java 1.5!)

Thanks a bunch!

eclipse-javac seems to:
Depends: kaffe | java2-runtime, java-common
Recommends: j2sdk1.3 | j2sdk1.4
The reason j2sdk1.5 is not mentioned, is probably that there was no java 1.5 deb available when those listings where last checked/updated.
