Downloading, installing Gnome Development Tools for opneSUSE

I went to this site: http://live.gnome.org/DeveloperTools...ation/OpenSuSE and downloaded the development tools. I was interested in using an IDE for some C++ programming. Before, I was trying to download source files and compile, but wasn't having any luck with dependencies. Now I've downloaded and installed (apparently successfully because I got no error messages), but nothing works. I try starting Anjuta (the IDE) and it doesn't start. GIMP wont even start now - it was fine before I downloaded anything.

Please let me know what to do next.

What warnings and errors do you get when you run them from the command line?
