dose ruby came pre-installed in all the linux distros ??

just want to ask some questions about ruby ...

does ruby came pre-installed with all or at least most of the linux distros ?? ... probably just a "standard" ruby without much "extra" extensions/libraries or whatever they are called in ruby ...

//thanks ...

Doesn't come on my version of Slackware, but why exactly does it matter? Just install it from the site if you don't have it.

i was thinking of something like c , perl , python , tcl and the like which are kind of pre-installed on "every" linux distro ...

at least their "basic" compiler/enviroment ... so is ruby something like that ?? sometimes many "standard" linux applications do require these stuffs to be installed firstly ...

if not ... would it be many of the distros or just few of the distros ??

EDIT ::btw ... on my redhat 9 , i got ruby ... i donno how/why/when i have it installed ... so i'm asking the questions ...

I can't speak for all the distros, but if Ruby is popular enough, it will start showing up in them. Are you just curious, or are you trying to do something with this information?
