Smile displaying a maze generated by a c program

good evening everybody ...

I want to write a program in C which will generate a maze randomly and find the solution for it ..

The idea behind is in http://www.mazeworks.com/mazegen/mazetut/index.htm

can anybody please tell me how the 16 bit integer is stored in a variable ..
Earlier I wrote a program on trees and displayed it using dotty .. Is there any such tool to display a maze ..

I am using ubuntu 10.04

Thank you

I'm not quite sure what you mean by your question about the 16 bit integer... Are you asking about binary? Or something deeper?

In response to displaying the maze, I could find little about dotty on the web, but what I did find suggested it drew to the console. If this is the case, you can use ncurses to draw to the console and do a bunch of other stuff as well. Using the special characters it provides you should be able to draw the types of mazes that are being generated by the algorithm on MazeWorks. As far as I understand how dotty works, this will require slightly more effort as it doesn't do it all for you from a file you provide, but you will have far more control over it and the ability to make it more interactive than it otherwise could be
