deploying a custom SSH daemon and client

i want to create a ssh server and client which doesn't say "hei this is ssh over here", i read the source code, in handshaking process, "ssh version" is passed in plain text when server and client try to identify each other
is there any tutorial on ssh source code making it a little bit more simple? i'm more of a web developer than a software developer, and i have only used c++ where ssh is in c, using methods used to create a 'c' application, so new terms pop-up every where (static function for instance)
security is not my main concern, for some reasons i dont want the transmission to be so obvious that it's ssh
where can i get some help?

Well, you could go to the home page of the authors http://www.openssh.com/.

I am curious as to why you care about identifying it as ssh though?

In addition, you might want to use the Report button to ask the Mods to move this to the Programming forum.

Security just by obscurity is a bad approach. Obscurity in addition to genuine security is a good one.
