Question Dectect flow caracterestiques


hello,
I will be grateful if you can give me an idea,infact my problem is:
i added a new layer to the UserPPP protocol for FreeBSD under the NCP layer,and iwant know how can i detect ,for evry packet and from this layer, the five caracteristiques(@ source, @destination,port source,port destination,protocol)to know for witch flow it belongs.
